I am a former Howard County resident who has taught Physical Education in
the county for almost 30 years. For most of those years, I have coached
high school baseball at Howard High School.
I grew up playing baseball on Maryland's Eastern Shore. I attended
Salisbury State University from 1968 to 1972, starting all four years
as a pitcher and outfielder. In 1970, I was named Honorable Mention
All American. Salisbury State inducted me into it's Hall of Fame in
1995.
While raising three children and teaching, I worked to recieved a Master's
Degree in Administration and Supervision in 1982. I have continued to
teach and coach high school baseball, winning 5 County Championships
for both the Howard's Junior Varsity and Varsity teams.
I founded these camps seven years ago as a way to give kids a fun,
safe place to go where they could acquire fundamental over-all skills
and advanced pitching and catcher's skills. In 1995, we started with
50 kids and have grown to serve more than 500.
Our philosophy is simple - to help each player IMPROVE, HAVE FUN, AND
BE SAFE while atending our camp.
Whether the player is a beginner or an advanced player, we work with
each player to prepare them for the NEXT LEVEL. Each of our camps is
tailored to all ages and ability levels.
The real strength of my camps is the STAFF. At each camp, we strive
to provide small group instruction, so that each player gets the attention
and instruction that they need. My staff is comprised mostly of Howard
County Teachers and Coaches. We all have one thing in common, we care
about kids.
We look forward to working with your child to improve his or her skills
while having a fun and safe experience.
